As the release of Disney’s new blockbuster Maleficent comes closer and closer everyone wants a piece of the magic of Maleficent. Disney has collaborated with Crow’s Nest Fine Jewellery and commissioned them to create pieces of jewellery which capture the magic and wonder of Sleeping Beauty’s fairytale nemesis.

Designer Daniel Belevitch said: “It’s a seven-piece collection of contemporary and statement rings, bracelets and earcuffs, taking inspiration from and interpreting the key elements of the film.” The elements include fire, dragons, feathers and thorns which have made for an interesting and exquisite array of pieces.
Dragon Ring“Each piece is set in rhodium with black diamonds, featuring a pear-shaped onyx, which contrasts to the green tsavorite that has become signature for my core pieces.” The intricate pieces reflect the complex nature of maleficent and the beauty of her character. Prices range from £2,500 to £13,500.
Dragon Earcuff“She’s a dark character but with a beauty as well,” he added. “I think she’s misunderstood and we can learn something about ourselves from her. I hope my interpretation of the character, that I tried to capture within the jewellery, reflects how other people feel too – dark but beautiful.”
