The new campaign for Lady Dior, the fashion house’s most iconic handbag, has been released. Marion Cotillard channels dancing ballerina with her toes perfectly pointed and her drifting upwards as she floats gracefully in the air holding several different versions of the handbag in a series of photographs.
The 38 year old French actress looks angelic whilst she wears beautiful, delicate dresses from the pre-fall collection designed by the creative director of Dior, Raf Simons. She is the perfect person to represent this collection as she looks ultra-feminine, sophisticated and effortlessly angelic.
Clutching the handbags as she jumps, we see a variety of new editions of the Lady Dior. The classic handbags have been given modern updates with a fresh colour palette and pretty floral prints.
You might be wondering how Marion Cotillard managed to defy gravity in the new campaign. The answer has been revealed in a behind-the-scenes video of the shoot showing how the long time face of Dior simply jumped up and down on a trampoline.
This doesn’t sound so glamorous to us, but she somehow manages to pull it off. Striking graceful poses mid-air, Cotillard makes it look effortless. Even as her hair drifts upwards from the momentum of the jump she remains the epitome of elegance and grace.
We reckon if we had a go it wouldn’t look anywhere near as chic or sophisticated. Still, it’s worth a try.
