The September issue is a big deal for fashion publications. They fight to get the biggest stars to appear on their pages in the hope they will sell more copies. Kendall Jenner may not be one of the three super models to appear on the cover of US Vogue, but she has made it inside the 856 page publication. She features in the magazine as a model, not a celebrity. There is no interview in which she talks about her famous siblings and their famous partners, not even a mention of the name Kardashian.
Kendall has made it in the industry and she doesn’t want her name to be the reason for her success. On page 656, she stars in a trend piece about how to tie a scarf. She wears a beautiful blue paisley Alexander Wang jacket, burgundy paisley shirt, metallic bum bag and an Alexander Wang printed scarf. The image was shot by legendary fashion photographer Patrick Demarchelier and styled by Tabitha Simmons.
She first worked with Vogue back in February. Kendall posted selfies wearing Autumn Winter 2014 looks on the magazine’s Instagram account. Speaking to Grazia about the shoot, she said: ‘Umm, they called me, asked me to do it so I did it! That was also something I’ve long dreamed of doing.’
