There is one man, and one man only, who can waltz in to the Chanel’s Haute Couture show donning clothing from the Chanel woman’s collection at the Grand Palais in Paris, oozing with confidence and charisma, and looking pretty damn good. That would be rock star and actor, Jared Leto.
Chanel doesn’t cater to men, however, this wouldn’t stop Mr Leto. Perhaps his recent role as a transgender in his Oscar winning role in “Dallas Buyers Club” has made him more comfortable in ladies’ attire? Nevertheless, fashion holds no bounds for this man, and the cowboy themed Métiers d’Art collection catered Leto with a few androgynous choices. Leto wore a pair of gold women’s tweed denim skinnies and cowboy boots both from the Chanel pre-fall 2014 collection. Teamed with a graphic tee (turned inside-out,) chambray shirt, aviators and facial hair, it makes a perfect balance and stops it from being too overboard. Yee-haw. As for the Rapunzel ombré locks, not many men could pull off the Jesus-Merman look, and for this, we salute him.
If you’re a guy and can pull off platinum blonde locks, a pink mullet, skirts, …the list goes on, then you’ve got it. Leto can do no wrong in our eyes, and with an appearance like this, we wouldn’t expect any less.
