Luxury clothing brand Jaeger are set to bring manufacturing back to Britain to try and rejuvenate finances and bring back their image. The brand stopped manufacturing in the UK around 15 years ago, but now intends on bring 5-10 per cent of their production back home to Britain.
Many of Jaeger’s clothing is produced in Asia, however chief executive Colin Henry plans on sourcing more products in Portugal, Italy and Turkey as well as the UK in hope that it will improve the quality of their collections and speed up the time it takes to bring the products to the shop floor.
As well as coming home to Britain, Jaeger intends to expand their number of concessions, which is currently sold in John Lewis and House of Fraser. Their aim is to “be the premium British clothing brand adored by the stylish men and women globally.”
