Helena Christensen worked with Oxfam to design limited edition Hello Kitty t-shirts. Proceeds made from the shirts will go towards the charity Change, which supports women’s rights internationally. The sales will also benefit Oxfam’s aim to help 80,000 people out from poverty this year.
Christensen sure made quite a spin on the redesign of Hello Kitty for the t-shirts giving the iconic character a head of hair. It’s never really been done before so a few mixed reviews are to be expected, but none the less it’s still pretty cute! And as Helena said herself “She’s still as cool and chic today as she was when I was a child,”
The shirts will only be available in Coin stores in Italy, or ordering online via email to eventi@oxfamitalia.org costing £29.99. Talking about her work, Helena added “As a Global Ambassador for Oxfam I am delighted that these lovely T-shirts will help raise vital funds for the charity’s work with vulnerable women across the world, empowering them to have a say in their own future and escape poverty. Thank you for buying this T-shirt, I hope you enjoy wearing it!”
