Gisele Bündchen has been the highest earning super model on the planet for the last seven years and business publication Forbes seem fascinated with her. The Brazilian born model has had her most successful year, apparently earning $128,000 a day, that’s over £70,000! She has said that Forbes often miscalculate her earnings but if it is anywhere near that number it’s no surprise she still holds the top spot. Last year the 33-year-old secured the number one spot for the seventh time and there was a massive $35 million gap between her and the next highest paid model Miranda Kerr.
The mother of two has just enjoyed the most lucrative 12 months of her entire career. Over the past year she has signed for H&M, appeared in a Chanel fashion film and delivered the World Cup on behalf on Louis Vuitton. Forbes revealed that she earned an astonishing $47 million in total due to various campaigns, run-way shows and magazine features. That figure is estimated before taking into account any management or agency costs. Gisele has also been confirmed for some more big money jobs including campaigns for Chanel No.5, Balenciaga and Pucci since the figures were publicised by Forbes.
Whether Forbes’ estimate is accurate or not the fact that Gisele is by far the world’s most successful model still remains. She has out done some of the other biggest names in the industry including Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell and recent success story Cara Delevigne.
Gisele Bündchen has spoken about her feelings about Forbes: “It’s sad, because the people who write these things don’t have my bank account details… I do OK, I earn plenty, but not as much as they say. I’ve already been audited by the IRS because of this list and, truthfully, whether I’m on this list or not doesn’t interest me.”
