Emma Watson has become a darling of the fashion industry, wearing a dress more gorgeous than the next to every event she attends, and appearing on several advertising campaigns for big name designers like Burberry and Lancome.
But what does the 23-year-old style icon, currently on a promotional tour for her new film Noah, think about the photoshop phenomena? Emma spoke out about her opinions on the negative effects of unrealistic beauty ideals in an interview with The Guardian:
“As a younger woman, the pressure got me down, but I’ve made my peace with it. With airbrushing and digital manipulation, fashion can project an unobtainable image that’s dangerously unhealthy. I’m excited about the ageing process. I’m more interested in women who aren’t perfect. They’re more compelling.”
Good to see a Hollywood girl keeping it real.
