Love it or hate it, but it cannot be denied that the 90s are back on the fashion agenda, and one 90s staple is making a comeback in a big way: overalls. Several celebrities, like Alexa Chung, have been donning them for several years, with short versions in the summer and full-length numbers in cooler weather, but recently we’ve noticed many more stars picking up on the trend.
We don’t blame them, really; if you like showing your legs off but aren’t a fan of girlie skirts and dresses, short denim overalls (American Apparel and vintage stores always come up trumps with these sort of styles, in case you’d like to source some for yourself) could be the answer.
Although denim seems to be the fabric of choice when it comes to these fun one-pieces, we love the idea of overalls in luxurious fabrics, like velvet or leather, for a classy look on a chilly evening.
