On March 27, Black Milk released their Heroes Ammo, the second instalment of their Made-in-Australia collaboration with DC Comics.
The Ammo release, which is typically smaller than a full Black Milk Clothing collection, comprises of around 20 pieces, and features printed Superman and Wonder Woman caped swimsuits, as well as Watchmen prints.
Apart from these pieces, the collection also includes Catwoman-themed outfits that cross over with Black Milk’s latest Batman collection, as well as some sparkly America-themed skater dresses, hoodies and leggings, because superheroes are quintessentially American, the company said.
Black Milk Clothing creator and head designer, James Lillis, has always been interested in comic books.
“I’m a massive fan, I grew up with DC Comics. So, as well as being a big deal with our community, making this gear is something I’ve always wanted to do,” Lillis said. “There are so many really fascinating themes embedded in the Superhero genre. There’s good and evil, and there’s that grey area in between. There’s the idea that even the most overlooked or misunderstood people can have secret identities that can, and do, change the world.”
With prices starting at £33.35 for the t-shirts, through to £66.69 for the Catwoman catsuits, you can see and purchase pieces from Black Milk’s Heroes collection on their website, here.
