As Cole Haan moves into the Asia markets, the brand has decided to bring American beauty Dree Hemingway with them as the new face of the brand and global ambassador. Hemingway will also be lending her talents, by co-designing a range of shoes and bags for the brand.
The brand released a statement on Monday, “Ms. Hemingway’s image and personality will help support the company’s aggressive international expansion”. This comes in light of the brands expansion into the Middle East, Japan and Hong Kong; as well as entering the Chinese, Mexican and South Korea markets in during Fall 2014.
Being co-designer and global ambassador is a first time role for Hemingway, who explains in a recent interview with Fashionista earlier in February said that although her famous family helped her get in the door as a model, it’s been a challenge to prove her own talent because of those ties. “I love this job, and I don’t think I would have lasted in it if I weren’t doing something right,” said Hemingway.
Cole Haan’s choice for Hemingway delves into the beauty of her American roots, which firmly knocks on the door of the Asian and emerging fashion markets.
Keep a look out for Hemingway’s first campaign, set to be released in Fall 2014.
