We could not be more excited today, as Alexander Wang has been confirmed as the next designer to create a collection for H&M!
Balenciaga’s creative director was revealed as the latest collaboration last night via Instagram, after posting this video of a basketball scoreboard with a countdown to the ‘Wang X HM’ launch! The collection will include men’s and women’s clothing, along with some much anticipated accessories.
“I am honoured to be a part of H&M’s designer collaborations,” Wang said. “The work with their team is an exciting, fun process. They are very open to pushing boundaries and to set a platform for creativity. This will be a great way for a wider audience to experience elements of the Alexander Wang brand and lifestyle.”
“Alexander Wang is one of the most important voices in fashion today,” H&M’s creative advisor Margareta Van Den Bosch stated.
“He understands exactly what people want to wear and does it with an energy and passion that’s infectious. It feels incredible to be collaborating with him this year.”
Although the collection is yet to launch, an event at Coachella today featuring acts like Iggy Azalea, will be surrounded by the ‘Wang X HM’ banner.
The superstar collaboration will be unveiled on November 6th this year. Our countdown has officially begun!
