Despite rumours surfacing that Angelina Jolie is giving up acting, the star has reportedly asked the makers of Maleficent to be kept “in the loop” about the potential sequel.
The star, who has been doing a lot off-screen recently, mainly directing and continuing her humanitarian work for the UN, hasn’t signed on to play the villain just yet.
However script-writer Linda Woolverton is said to have written the plot with the view of the actress returning to the cast.
Despite the film costing a small fortune to make, there’s no denying that it was a hit with critics. Jolie showed great appreciation for her role and it’s easy to see why the film grossed approximately $760 million worldwide.
