Taylor Swift’s ‘Bad Blood’ Was Only Number One In The Charts For A Week

Taylor Swift will always be pumping out catchy songs for us to sing our hearts out to and ‘Bad Blood’ is definitely no exception. So why was it only number one in the charts for a week?!

Taylor Swift will always be pumping out catchy songs for us to sing our hearts out to and ‘Bad Blood’ is definitely among the list. So it may come as a shock to fans, us included, that the track was only number one in the charts for a single week!

Fret not, according to Forbes, there isn’t anything stopping Swifty from bringing it back to the top again.

“The fact that the song actually made it to number one – even if only for one frame – is incredible. Thanks to a brilliant marketing strategy involving a kick ass music video, famous friends, and an ingenious social rollout, Swift’s 1989 now has three number one hits to its credit – something very few albums can claim,” Forbes said.

There’s no denying that in the past we’ve often seen up-and-coming acts reach the number one spot and hold that title for a record length of time, before fading away as ‘one hit wonders’.

But, with a music video jam-packed with celebrity appearances (and, of course, some very clever marketing), we don’t see that happening anytime soon.

People will be buying and listening to ‘Bad Blood’ regardless of its top spot in the charts. For that we salute you T!
