Just got dumped? Just dumped someone? Fret not! Breaking up in the summer is so much easier than breaking up when it’s cold and miserable outside.
When your heart’s aching it’s totally OK to drink two bottles of wine to yourself in a dimly-lit room, order takeaway for two (and eat it all by yourself) and send frustrated, gossipy WhatsApps to your mates.
However, in the summer you can at least be assured that when you eventually pull open your curtains and show your face to world again, the sun will still be shining and your friends will probably be waiting for you in a beer garden somewhere.
Here are five ways to get over a breakup this summer.

Hit a festival
Going to a festival is a great way to get over someone because they automatically intertwine three great heartbreak killers: music, friends and alcohol. Although you need to sort out the latter two beforehand, the music is already sorted for you.
There’s very little danger, then, that you’re going to end up listening to Bon Iver or Adele or whatever other moody solo artist that’s on your ‘Sad Songs’ playlist on Spotify.
If you go to a festival and one of these moody solo artists happens to be playing then just head to the dance tent. You can’t be sad in a dance tent.
