From the heart of Newton Abbot, Devon comes an announcement that really stands out; iconic New Jersey, hip-hop act The Sugarhill Gang are headlining Lemonfest 2018.
If you love music then you’ve hard The Sugarhill Gang’s timeless hit record, Rapper Delight; the track is a blueprint on the culture of east-coast hip-hop and disco. This year, the four-piece group headlining Saturday night (9th June) at the annual party at Lemonfest.
Joining them at this year’s Lemofest are festival favourites, Slamboree. The collection of dancers, musicians, and party people are a mash-up between Basement Jaxx and The Rocky Horror Show; aka, a recipe for a great Friday night (8th June) headliner.
Matt Freemantle, Lemonfest organiser had this to say about the forthcoming festival: “To say we’re excited about having some genuine, bonafide hip-hop legends at this years’ festival would be an understatement. This year’s ethos is all about fun, and bags of it. We’re planning on creating one huge party atmosphere from start to finish. We can’t wait to share more acts and surprises with you”
