Severe thunderstorms have caused the third day of Rock AM Ring Festival in Germany to be cancelled after more than 70 people were injured by lightning strikes yesterday.
Eight of these people have suffered serious injuries. This was the 31st year of the festival, with Black Sabbath, Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Volbeat headlining.
This morning the festival announced that the local government had withdrawn its license following the ongoing thunderstorms in the area. This is the second year in a row that lightning has injured Rock AM Ring fans.
