The infamous Edinburgh Fringe Festival has reached the half way stage. After spending a couple of weeks battling with their egos and working out how they ended up being in the hottest cave in Scotland for a month the added stress of the reviews are now flying in.
With over 500 comedy shows available it is one of the most competitive festivals in the world and next week they will find out who will be nominated for the big awards; but who do we think deserves some of the acclaim?
Here are HTF’s top ten acts of the Fringe 2016.
Mr. Swallow – Houdini
Nick Mohammed has been delighting audiences for years with his alter ego Mr. Swallow. Last time he graced the fringe Mr. Swallow was putting on Dracula The Musical. This year Swallow alongside his loyal sidekicks Mr. Goldsworth (David Elms) and Jonathan (Kieran Hodgson) take on the escape artist extraordinaire Houdini. Expect songs, laughter and surprisingly brilliant magic.
