Who would ever thought that the Isle of White could be the UK Grime scene’s second home? Bestival is continuing show a huge amount of support after some of the genres biggest names are set to perform at this year’s festival.

We have rounded up the must-see-performance for every old or new grime fan to watch at this year’s festival, check them out below.

Wiley

The Godfather of Grime, Wiley, is set to make a rare appearance at this year’s Bestival. The genre’s biggest name hasn’t got the best reputation of turning up to shows, but if he does then it’ll be one of the most historic and best things you’ll ever witness.

Skepta

2015 has so far been the year of grime and mostly thanks to one of the genre’s greatest, Skepta. His newest singles ‘That’s Not Me‘ and ‘Shutdown‘ have dominated the radio stations, clubs and raves all year, as well as representing grime over in the USA. What better way to finish the festival season than to Shutdown the Isle of White.

Boy Better Know

It’s hard to talk about grime and not mention Boy Better Know. In fact, the collective of BBK are still the front men for the genre while they tour around the country and perform at UK festivals. You’re never too sure who will turn up at a BBK rave, but you can always rely on grimes most consistent artist, JME, to make an appearance. Not sure what to expect? Then watch the video of their Eskimo Dance performance at Bristol’s 02 from earlier this year.

Logan Sama

Logan Sama is known as grime’s most loyal character after years of continuing to champion the genre on his radio show. This year at BestivalLogan will be performing alongside the likes of MistaJam, Benga, The Heatwave and Low Steppa as part of MistaJam Presents Speakerbox. If you want back-to-back classics and to hear the authentic sounds grime, then make sure you catch Logan Sama this yet at Bestival.

Big Narstie

Known as the grime’s funny man, Big Narstie is going to bring the “Base” to this year’s Bestival. The leader of the Base Defence League is adored by his fans with his countless Uncle Pain agony aunt videos and funny lyrics in his music. Make it a priority to see Narstie while you’re at the Isle of White.
