Maybach Music Rapper Stalley sits down with us to talk about his new album ‘Ohio‘.
Despite the reputation Maybach Music has garnered from artists such as Meek Mill and Rick Ross for its decadent bass heavy trap music; Stalley is the antidote. Cerebral without being preachy. He raps about all the same things your average rapper does but with an added depth and consequence. His appearances on the Self Made compilation albums sparked interest which he delivered on with his Honest Cowboy EP. Collaborations with Ty Dolla Sign, ScHoolboy Q and even De La Soul have seen him earn respect for his strong mid western sound. He built on the sound immensely with his debut album’Ohio, where he crafted his own lane that takes elements of the MMG house sound and tones down the sparkle and adds soul.
In this in-depth convo we discuss everything from his relationship with Rick Ross, standing out on the MMG roster with his own sound, how it feels being a Muslim rapper in America now and so more. Stalley’s album Ohio is out now and you can check out more here – https://www.facebook.com/stalleymusic
