It’s not long until the gates of Bestival 2015 open on the Isle Of White and we can’t wait. Why? Because this year, along with we the summer of love theme, comes a massive line-up that music fans of all ages can appreciate.
With that being said we’ve put a list together of the top 5 acts we think you need to see at this year’s Bestival.
The queen of rap, Missy Elliott reigned supreme through the late 90’s and early 00’s with classic club anthems like ‘Get Ur Freak On‘ and ‘Work It‘. This year her majesty will be headlining the festival and we’re sure that it’s going to be one the best performances of the summer – be there!
You’ve probably seen your mum and dad on a new years eve drunk dancing to ‘Rio‘ at least once in your life. Have you ever wondered why they seem to be in their element? Well, back when your parents were in their prime during the 80’s, Duran Duran dominated the charts with their, at the time, fashionable sounds and catchy sing-a-long singles, so this year it’s your duty to re-enact those cheesy dance moves.
With this year’s theme being summer of love, it’s essential to hear the hallucinogenic sounds of Tame Impala. Their new album Currents adds to their forever growing trippy, hippy collection, so if you want to get into the true summer of love spirit, then you must see these.
Many people weren’t lucky enough to see the King of Pop, Micheal Jackson, perform live. However, Bestival has given us next best thing – The Jacksons. With original members Jermaine, Tito, Jackie and Marlon all lining up, it’s going to be unmissable.
It was only a couple of weeks ago that FKA twigs broke the internet with her new EP/short film M3LLI55X. Now she’ll be on the Isle of White to give another outstanding performance. If you’re passionate about art or alternative sounds you best make sure to see FKA twigs at Bestival.
Don’t forget there’s still a Very Special Guest to be announced and with the line-up Bestival have already provided, the possibilities are endless. For more information about tickets or travel, visit the Bestival website here.
