1. Crossfaith – Xeno

Ever since Xeno’s release I’ve been playing it on repeat non-stop. Packed full of absolute killer tunes, from ‘Devil’s Party’, ‘Ghost In The Mirror’ and of course, ‘Wildfire’, this album shows the natural evolution of Crossfaith and the dawning of a new era. They’ve proven that they’re more than just a party band – slower songs like ‘Calm The Storm’ are reminiscent of Linkin Park’s Hybrid Theory golden days and I reckon they could be as big in a few years if they keep churning out tracks like these. Xeno showcases vocalist Kenta Koie’s full melodic range, a slicker production and more fine-tuned songwriting which is definitely going to take the band further. I can’t wait to see them on the UK leg of their headline tour next year – it’s going to be huge.

2. Lamb of God – VII: Sturm und Drang
3. Parkway Drive – Ire
4. Cradle of Filth – Hammer of The Witches
5. Nightwish – Endless Forms Most Beautiful
