Festival season is coming up so we are on hand to help you prepare for the occasion. It’s hot, it’s cold, it’s wet and dry, so packing the right clothes whilst still trying to look as stylish as possible can be a difficult task. With a fashion world as changeable as the British weather its never going to be easy but we’ve been on the hunt, picking out the best styles as worn by your favourite stars.
This week we have picked lead singer of The 1975, Matthew Healy. Performing in the hot Californian sun for this years Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival back on April 20, Matthew wore a floral blouse. Both daring and feminine, Matthew managed to pull it off by styling it down with black jeans and boots. The ripped jeans give his outfit a careless, rebellious thrown together look, but the outfit kept a more light and summery look with the bright, bold florals.
For a great summery festival look check out these pieces similar to Matthew’s outfit. The black stretch skinny jeans are almost identical to the ones Matthew is wearing and even have the slashes in the knees if you don’t want to attempt this yourself. They are available from Topman for £38. Continuing with the black theme, these suedette chelsea boots will be both comfortable and stylish, although they won’t be much good in the rain! Also from Topman and priced at a reasonable £40.
Healy has admitted that he wears a lot of women’s shirts, so we went to the womenswear sections to find a floral one similar to his. This tropical floral print shirt is from ASOS is a steal at £24 and is light and airy to keep you cool in the hot weather. You don’t want to forget to take sunglasses as you might end up squinting to watch your favourite bands. These super cool Jinny sungasses from American Apparel have a vintage charm and will keep your peepers safe from the sunlight so you can enjoy the festival. They are available online for £35.
