Looking Back At 12 Years Of Slam Dunk Festival…

Slam Dunk is in its 12th year and so we’re taking a look back at how it’s evolved since 2006!

Slam Dunk Festival 2018

This year will be the 12th edition of the infamous Slam Dunk Festival, which now takes place across three sites in the South, North, and Midlands of England. The 2018 line-up boasts an incredible list of bands, including the exclusive worldwide reunion of The Audition and co-headliners Good Charlotte and Jimmy Eat World.

Slam Dunk has always managed to wow its patrons, even in its very first version that took place at Leeds Millennium Square in 2006. With that in mind, we’re taking a look back at every Slam Dunk Festival in the last 12 years and picking out our favourite moments…

2006

In 2006, Slam Dunk Festival was a one-stage, one-date event in Leeds. Fall Out Boy headlined, with labelmates The Academy Is… as direct support. Also joining them were ThursdayHundred ReasonsCapdownThe Hush Sound and Hellogoodbye. Fall Out Boy during their prime?! You surely couldn’t want for more— particularly as tickets were only £20.
