Music videos are grand things. They let us see our favourite bands performing the songs we love without even having to leave the comfort of our own sofa. But then when they bring in friends and special guests, it goes to another level and you almost  start to get that star-struck feeling, you know? Well we’ve compiled our favourite impromptu appearances in rock history here in this list for your own spate of star-struck viewing pleasure.

Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Eminem and Jonathan Davis in Limp Bizkit’s ‘Break Stuff’
Back in 1999, back before the days of ‘The Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavoured Water‘, Limp Bizkit were an relatively unknown entity. Nevertheless, being signed to Interscope allowed them to make some pretty big connections with the musical great and good, so when they filmed the video for their anger-fuelled ‘Break Stuff‘, they pulled out all the stops.

In amongst their legions of fans going bat-shit crazy in that trademark red New Era cap, the familiar faces of Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre and Eminem all pop up, lip-syncing Fred Durst’s venomous vocals with their own renowned styles. Then in walks Jonathan Davis, seemingly preparing himself for a fight with the Limp Bizkit frontman, as they circle eachother like rabid dogs. The eagle-eyed among you may even spot appearances from Pauly Shore, Seth Green and Flea from Red Hot Chilli Peppers. Add the cameos together with kids swearing into camera and skateboarders busting kickflips, you’ve got yourself one hell of a video.
