Gene Simmons Says Rock Is Finally Dead. Here’s Why We Disagree.

Gene Simmons believes Rock to be dead. Well, we disagree. Read here to check out which Rock bands we are excited for.

5. Royal Blood – Finally, the current chart toppers, Royal Blood duo have absolutely taken the British Rock Scene to new heights. Through constant touring the past year, and releasing singles with incredible hooks that just could not be missed, it is no wonder the boys have stolen the show. They smashed a great performance at Reading and Leeds, to which they then released their debut Royal Blood. Now being nominated by Q Magazines Best New Band, selling out their own Headlining European Tour, and reaching #1 in the charts with their debut. Royal Blood became the fastest-selling Rock debut since Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds in 2011, having sold nearly 66,000 copies over the past week. This is not just encouraging however in the sense of figures for the Rock industry, but it is undeniable the sound and the lyrical matter within the debut. Rock music cannot be ‘dead’ when there is so much strength to be offered within the genre, and their is music worth listening and paying attention to.
