Every band strives to make it big, but some really go above and beyond. 2016 has been quite the year for a few of our favourites, and has seen a number of rock artists really make a splash in the scene. We've compiled a list of our top 5 in celebration of a fantastic year drawing to a close!

4. Panic! At The Disco
Panic! At The Disco have had a fairly turbulent ride since they started in 2004, with a single founding member out of four remaining part of the lineup. 2016 has certainly seen Brendon Urie and co. reach for the stars however, with fifth studio album Death Of A Bachelor being released at number one on Billboard 200 and gaining the band their highest album sales figures in the first week. If that wasn’t enough to land the band in our top 10, they also contributed to the official Suicide Squad soundtrack with their incredible cover of ‘Bohemian Rhapsody‘.
