Breaking Bad won an impressive five Emmys despite finishing a year ago. Surprisingly some popular series from this year missed out on awards such as Orange is the New Black and House of Cards, in fact, streaming channel Netflix failed to pick up a single award this year despite producing some great new shows.
Bryan Cranston shocked the crowd by grabbing Julia-Lois Dreyfus into a lengthy kiss as she rose to collect her award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series. The pair had joked earlier about their Seinfeld characters dating.
A moving tribute was also made by Billy Crystal to his friend, the recently deceased comedy legend Robin Williams. Crystal said “He was the brightest star in the comedy galaxy.”
