For popstars in today’s day and age, success isn’t just restricted to dominating the airwaves. Outside of their musical ventures, singers can take on the unlikeliest of projects and the titles “businessman” and “businesswoman” soon become a part of their résumés. Take Jay Z and Tidal as the obvious example, in which he developed the streaming platform with the aid of fellow co-owners such as Beyoncé, Rihanna, Madonna and Calvin Harris among many other A-listers. Whilst fragrances and clothing lines are perhaps the projects you do know of, we thought we’d choose the more unique products from your favourite pop stars – check it out!

Justin Timberlake – Sauza 901

Throughout his career, Justin Timberlake has established himself as a suave musician and a smooth crooner with songs such as ‘Sexy Back‘ and ‘Suit & Tie‘ . It turns out these characteristics also fit the description of his Sauza 901 Tequila. To promote his premium tequila, the singer/actor went where a no singer has been before. Personified as Rick “Sour” Vane, a moulding lime, the singer tells the story of the declining lime industry – you see, the tequila has such a smooth taste, there’s simply no need for limes anymore. Props go to Justin for creating such a unique and hilarious campaign.

Jessica Simpson – Jessica Simpson Dessert Beauty

It’s been over eleven years since Jessica Simpson’s Dessert Beauty range landed on earth. The former pop princess put her name behind a new range of edible cosmetics. These included a Whipped Body Cream with Candy SprinklesPowdered Sugar Deliciously Kissable Body Shimmer and the fantastically named Deliciously Kissable Belly Button Love Potion Fragrance. Perhaps Jessica was hoping you’d join her in indulging in ‘The Sweetest Sin‘ and that you’d find her sweet treats ‘Irresistible‘ – see what we did there? In just a few short years, the products came to a sweet end, although if you watch the video above, it looks like they just got a little too sickly – even for Jessica to handle.

Kelly Clarkson – American Greetings

Have you ever had one of those Happy Birthday cards where you open it up to badly sung rendition of the song? If sung by Kelly Clarkson however, there’d be no trouble, don’t you think? Well, our prayers have officially been answered. Earlier this year the ‘Heartbeat Song‘ hitmaker joined forces with American Greetings to form her own gift card line, ranging with cards from Get Well Soons to Thank Yous, all with a smidgen of Kelly’s humour – when appropriate of course. Now we’re just waiting for the scornful break up cards which play her songs ‘Since U Been Gone‘ and ‘Mr Know It All‘ – definitely a unique selling point there don’t you think?

Dr. Dre – Beats

If you don’t know what Beats are, you must have been living under a rock for the past few years. Dr. Dre’s headphones and speakers are endorsed by multiple famous faces and are constantly making appearances in music videos and promotional works, just check out the familiar faces in the video above including Kendall and Kylie Jenner, Jess Glynne, Usher and Big Sean. The brand became so successful, you perhaps heard that Apple decided to purchase it last year for a whopping $3 billion. No wonder Dr. Dre became known as ‘The Richest Man in Hip-Hop’.

Britney Spears – Britney’s Dance Beat

Britney’s early 2000s career had many fans wanting a taste of the famous superstar lifestyle, so the question was how could they experience it? Britney’s Dance Beat was perhaps the closest they would ever get – via the Game Boy Advance, PS2 and the PC – how 2000s! The premise of the video game invited fans to pass through numerous auditions with the end goal of becoming one of Britney’s back-up dancers. Of course it was also an opportunity to dance to her hits such as ‘…Baby One More Time‘, ‘Oops!…I Did It Again‘ and ‘I’m a Slave 4 U‘.

Daft Punk – ‘Get Lucky’ Condoms

Get Lucky‘ was undoubtedly one of 2013’s, if not that year’s biggest smash. So why not turn the song into something a little more tangible – a condom. Come to think of it – it makes sense, sort of. The product in question features the duo’s logo along with the music video screenshot where the duo themselves are joined by Pharrell Williams and Nile Rodgers before the sunset background. It’s certainly different – we’ll give them that.
