The internet, specifically Facebook, is a great place for community. Back in the day, you’d have to hunt the internet for a forum covering your love and devoted fandom of a particular band, TV show, animal or knitted sock pattern. Now it’s as easy as browsing through Facebook, where there are groups galore to cater for every cat/funny exam answer/Off-beat 1980’s sci-fi show/rock band related whim.
We stumbled across the facebook group Guns And Roses, which of course we assumed would be a page for devoted fans of Axl Rose and co to discuss Slash’s choice of top hats or where Duff Mckagan got his nick name from in depth.
And it all started off pretty promisingly –

Hell yeah, Appetite For Destruction is a killer album, a true classic! Also shout out to the uploader for using an Android phone, they clearly know what’s up. There’s a slightly odd comment on the photo though …

This seems a bit cryptic. Are they saying that Appetite … is ‘real’ GnR and that the other albums are a pale imitation? True, they haven’t quite got the band name right in the comment, but we can forgive them on account of good grammar, right?
