Last week wasn’t quite as busy as some of the previous weeks, what with Easter fast approaching. Now that we’ve all indulged in some chocolate, make sure you’re all caught up with some of the finer tunes released last week.

Asylums – When We Wake Up

Following the release of their well-loved debut album Killer Brain Waves, Asylums have announced that their highly anticipated follow up will be dropping this summer. Titled Alien Human Emotions, the new album will be released on 6th July. In the meantime, check out their new single ‘When We Wake Up’ below.

Elessar – Saudade

Elessar are an emerging emo-rock outfit formed back in 2016. The band are currently just around the corner from releasing the new EP Is This All We Are on 27th April. For a taster, here’s their new track ‘Saudade’.

The Hyena Kill – Exit Mask

Ahead of heading out on tour this month, Manchester duo The Hyena Kill have dropped the video for their latest track ’Exit Mask’. “We wanted something energetic and manic with a real DIY feel. It’s such an in your face tune when we play it live and Mya who made the video captured that energy perfectly” says vocalist/ guitarist Steven Dobb of the video.

Forever Cult – Usurper

Forever Cult’s music video for ‘Usurper’ is a strange one because the label had originally filmed it for another band’s song. Somehow though they’ve managed to chop it up in a way that it does fit with the band’s latest track. Give it a watch below to see what we mean.

Guillotine – Weakness

Up and coming band Guillotine are releasing their three track EP on 27th April. Titled Weakness, it’s the band’s follow up to their stunning debut Sapphire, with the band stating that the the theme behind their new release is fear and ultimately the fear of being alone. Check out the EP’s title track below.
