Before-hand pampering is a must. The most important beauty treatment that should be on every girls list is waxing. It may be painful but as the saying goes ‘beauty is pain’ and don’t we know it. One of the best parts of holidaying with your man is the fact you’ll really get to know each other, emotionally and physically. A pre-holiday waxing session means more time in bed with your man and less time in the tub with a razor. You’ll soon be grateful for that half an hour wax session where you grinned and bared it.
Other beneficial treatments include manicures, pedicures and skin care treatments. For skin its best to ex-foliate and moisturise to make sure your skins soft, smooth and ready to soak up the sun.
Packing
Don’t over do it. Over-packing is a crucial mistake all women make and sure we can’t help it, its in our nature but you must be strict with yourself ladies. Resist those Gucci heels, they would never do well on the sandy shores of the Bahamas and deep down you know it. Instead go for the low maintenance surfer girl look in the day time. Get creative with your sarongs and pin everything in place with an eye-catching brooch. Low maintenance but will have your partner seeing you in an all new and simply attractive light.
Key items on your list of things to pack should be sandals, an over-sized beach bag (how else would we get all our glossy magazines down to the beach), shorts and of course sunglasses. Channel your inner bohemian and buy a cover up for walking to the beach and midday strolls to the local shops or beach bar. Effortless chic.
At night is when you can really come out to play. Your new tan is the only accessory you really need to knock him off his feet, but its your chance to let him see you in things he wouldn’t necessarily see you in at home. Thanks to your new view on travelling light you can buy new things from local markets and stores. Yes that means bracelets, kaftans and dresses. There’s nothing like embracing the local culture to turn you into a real holiday goddess. Suddenly leaving those Gucci heels at home seems like a very good idea. Not only do you get to think of your prized possessions safe at home under lock and key, guarded by your teddy bear but you get to purchase a new wardrobe too. Heaven.
