City of Ashes

This Eastbourne four-piece may have formed in 2009, but in recent times they are taking the unsigned rock scene by storm. Off the back of their stella debut All We Left Behind, the past two years have seen them rise up with their impeccable ability to take the craft of alternative rock to heights of sheer stunning vocality, and passion second-to-none. Their fan base on the Sussex coast is currently bursting at the seams, and with the riffs and melodies to boot, its only a matter of time before the rest of the country finds out about the coast’s worst kept secret.

48Hours

‘Wait, hang on a second, this band aren’t from the States!?’ is probably the first thing that’ll pop into your head after one listen of 48Hours’ debut Recovery. Hailed from London, this trio pack everything hard-rock that you could ever wish for. With riffs hurtling into your ears from every angle, these Brits rival the hard rock fury that our State side brethren’s offer. From memorable melodies to chunky guitar lines, this is one band that are fast becoming the elites in their field.

dirt

Fresh faces on the alternative scene, London based mob dirt have really made their mark in a very short space of time. Their debut EP Mirrors put their melodic rock flair on the map with nowhere to hide, and nothings going to stop them from excelling anytime soon. With Camden Rocks Festival to name but a few shows in their sights, 2015 is going to be the year of the unsigned rock scenes upheaval. If the video below isn’t enough to tempt you, then we don’t know what will.

Pvris

This band need no introduction (but we’re giving it to you anyway), and unless you’ve been hiding under a rock in the last few months, then you’ll know that this band are rising faster than any other. This stateside trio combine pop infused riffs with electronic infused rave rock to re-define the niche of the alternative. They’re set to tour the UK with Lower Than Atlantis this April, and we’re ready to see the UK launch them into stardom. Still not convinced? Then look no further than last year’s release White Noise.

As Lions

Have you ever known a band to be around for a mere two months and sell out London’s Barfly? We haven’t either. Until now that is. Taken from the ashes of Rise To Remain, London based quintet As Lions are a binary infused rock band that take their vocals to new heights. In the last week or two, you may have seen As Lions posters laden on London’s Underground. They’re serious about taking a sucky situation and turning it around with tracks to please the masses. With an EP expected this Spring, you better watch out.

This Glasgow hailed five-piece incorporate the Scottish accent heavily and combine it with guitar distortion and melodies bold enough to rival the greats. Their recently released single ‘Falsehood’ was featured on the likes of Kerrang! and if that wasn’t enough, they’re set to release their debut EP next month. These Scots aren’t going anywhere fast.

Lost Atlanta

Formed in 2013, Manchester hailed Lost Atlanta are post-hardcore’s greatest underdogs right now. Since the release of their latest single ‘Into The Grey’ at the end of last year, all eyes on what these guys have the potential of becoming. With blends of classic rock wah and modern binary bloodthirstiness, they’re one not to be mess with, and have genius oozing at the seams. Don’t just think these guys are just masters of heavy either, as this year’s Takedown Festival will see their acoustic side come to life.
