The distance between fans and bands has been growing smaller and smaller nowadays. The internet and social media are, of course, playing a huge part in this, but you also now see a lot of bands inviting fans on stage to involve them more in the live music experience.

We’ve put together a list of some of our most memorable moments that fans have been invited up on stage to play, sing and generally rock out with their favourite bands.

Disturbed
One of the most recent examples comes from Disturbed who invited a 12-year-old fan up on stage recently to commemorate his first concert experience. The lucky boy got to the front of the crowd before being invited up and given a pair of drum-sticks, just to make everything even more special.
