Finding the perfect scent for you can take hours, there are just so many beautiful fragrances to choose from to suit the time of year and of course your personal style. Some people like that sweet scent while others opt for musk, so we have whittled down the list to the five top scents for spring 2014.
A spring fragrance classically has those floral and fruity scents, and the great minds behind many of these perfumes know exactly what they’re doing. There are plenty of new fragrances out this season which have stuck to their signature scent yet captured the essence of spring perfectly to give us something new without changing their style completely.
To start of our list of spring scents we have Marc Jacobs Daisy Delight, which is a twist on the signature fragrance Daisy. Except this time the perfume has added hints of apple and freesia, updating that fresh spring scent that we all adore. This perfume has such a pleasant aroma and can brighten up anyone’s day. So if you’re a Marc Jacobs fan or even sweet floral fragrance fan then this could be the one for you. The scent is priced at £48 and available to purchase from John Lewis.

Next we have decided upon Dolce and Gabbana’s Dolce. Like we said floral is a classic go to for a spring fragrance, and this one really hits the nail on the head. Dolce has a mix of white floral scents including white amaryllis as well as a combination of white water lily and white daffodil. This scent is perfectly feminine and will compliment any woman. The base notes of sandalwood and musk give it that sophisticated and elegantly gentle scent. Dolce is available to buy at John Lewis for £62.

Now the smell of a rose is a perfect description of spring so obviously Chloe’s Rose made it onto our list of spring scents. Chloe are known to have a delicate fragrance which isn’t too overwhelming and Rose is the perfect example of a soft scented perfume. Rose’s can sometimes have a bombarding fragrance but is none the less a scent we all adore. Chloe Rose is feminine, graceful and subtle with notes of magnolia, Bergamot, Amber and White musk which again is perfect for the Chloe woman who wants a delicately floral scent to match the season of spring. You can buy Chloe Rose from John Lewis for £28.

Balmain have launched their scent for 2014 which has a more sexy and exotic fragrance. Extatic introduces notes of night jasmine as well as Sharry Baby Orchid and accents of chocolate. A luxurious and unique scent with many oriental fragrances capturing Balmain’s fashionable style. If you’re interested in purchasing the perfume, prices start at £36 from John Lewis.

Lastly and certainly not least we have chosen Elie Saab L’Eau Couture which again represents spring scents perfectly with delicate notes of Bergamot and Magnaolia but differently the others listed L’Eau Couture has that citrusy fragrance with essence of Orange Blossom giving it that zesty ‘sunshiney’ and sophisticated feel. The perfume also has underlying notes of almond and vanilla making it that sweet floral and fruity fragrance which sits perfectly in the middle for the woman who just can’t decide between the two. L’Eau Couture is fresh for spring and captures that classic spring time genre of perfumes. The scent is available to buy for £31 from Debenhams.
