A Hitchcock masterpiece probably wasn’t the first thing you’d have expected to pop up on this list, but James Stewart was one of the biggest movie stars in the 20th century and the mere sound of his voice could make a woman squeal in delight while Kim Novak, who was ranked as one of the 100 sexiest film stars in 1955, puts in an incredibly voyeuristic performance. The scene under the Golden Gate Bridge possesses a particular majesty.
