It’s always nice to do your bit for society and here at HTF, when we aren’t helping out at the local village bake-off, we like to help out artists by supporting their latest releases.

We know that so many people are very cautious when it comes to anything new, especially if it has not already been playlisted by radio or shown on TV. However don’t fret as these tracks have been through a vigorous screening process so that you can take a deep breath, relax and enjoy some of the best new music around.

Band of Skulls – ‘Killer

The south coast trio return with their fourth album By Default, out May 27th . Judging by their  previous work it is surely bound to be an explosion of blues, rock and killer riffs, which is an apt title for their new single ‘Killer’. The band to go on a UK tour this April kicking off in Guildford and closing in Liverpool if you like music you should go and see them – it’ll be fun!

Spector – ‘Tenner’

For those of you who are rather partial to the world of indie and new technology – check out this new track from Spector. The 360-degree video is a rather nifty way treat for those who want to see their favourite band from every possible angle. Spector has gone video crazy in recent years and shared another 360-degree of ‘Decade of Decay‘, which is their 8th video from last years fantastic Moth Boys album.

Augustines – ‘We Are Alive’

The New Yorker’s enlist Bristol legend ‘Big Jeff’ to star in the video for their brilliant single, ‘We Are Alive‘. The thunderous drums and heartfelt vocals of Augustines make a welcome return – it’s Sam’s Town era Killers, but fewer cocktails more whiskey! What a lovely gesture to reach out and make a true fan the centerpiece of their video.

Similar to:  The Hold Steady and Frightened Rabbit

The Stone Foxes – ‘Dying Star

The indie-rockers sound like Jack White on the crazy juice, they are hyperactive and highly infectious. They have already had high praise for their former single ‘This Town‘, and ‘Dying Star‘ is bound to be another classic for the San Francisco residents.

Similar to: The Band and Kula Shaker

The Cadillac Three – ‘Graffiti’

The Nashville trio has been building a reputation for themselves slowly in the UK including, headline sold-out shows at London’s Electric Ballroom. ‘Graffiti’ showcases their Southern roots with added soul – imagine the sound of Springsteen, but with a stetson instead of a baseball cap. This soulful number is bound to increase their fan base just in time for their upcoming album later in the year.

Similar to: Kings of Leon and Bruce Springsteen

So there we have it, a mixture of new sounds to sink your greedy teeth into – enjoy!
