Here at Hit The Floor Magazine HQ we felt that we should send out a form of appreciation and graduate to the UK musicians for the work they have done up to this “Halfway” point of year. The we’d like to present “The HTF UK Urban Halfway Chart” where we present a Top 10 ranking system.
It’s no secret that UK Urban Music has always been an underground genre and thrown upon by the more mainstream platforms so ranking has never been a key motive until this point in time. With the streets finally being heard from London to Birmingham to Manchester we felt it’s time to give the culture a platform where a respectable rank will be awarded to 10 individual artists from the UK. This current position is based on the solo artists work and respect within the Urban culture up to this point in the year. The HTF Urban team judge the scene around these factors and these are the results. Click the next button to see who’s in 10th place and to see the rest of the Top 10 UK Artists.
We’d love to hear your views and even read your rankings so please leave a comment below.

D Double E, the man quite rightly named the ‘Lyrical Farda‘, has been in the grime scene since day one. He is considered one of the legends of grime, and has stayed true to the underground sound to which he gained his popularity all those years ago. Personally, he’s up there with my favourite grime artists, and has therefore truly gained his place in our Grime Royalty Hall of Fame. Check out his recent appearance on Skepta’s All Star remix to ‘That’s Not Me’. Bluku Bluuuku!
