Young Guns have signed to Virgin EMI, and will head to San Francisco at the end of the week to begin work on album number three with Dan the Automator (Head Automatica/Kasabian/Dredg).
The band released this statement across their social networks: “We’re extremely excited to announce that we’ve signed to Virgin EMI. This Sunday we fly to San Francisco to start work on our new record with Dan the Automator. We can’t wait to get started with this great new team and release some new music!”
They have also confirmed that they are still with Wind Up in the US.
Mike Smith, music president at Virgin EMI, says of the signing: “we have long been admirers of Young Guns. They have a very strong vision for the kind of music they want to make and we are honoured they’ve chosen Virgin EMI to help them achieve that.”
