Peter Capaldi received a letter from a young boy preparing for his grandmother’s funeral, and The Doctor replied with a heart-warming Youtube video to help the boy in his grief. According to his parents, nine-year old Thomas, who suffers from autism, has been helped in a “profound way” to cope with the new feeling of grief.
Thomas’s father, Ross, recently posted a comment on the Youtube video that says: “Made such a huge difference and helped him cope with the hardest of days. It was an incredibly kind thing to do that has help Thomas gain perspective and not feel so alone in his grief. Where Thomas is autistic, he doesn’t feel emotions the same way the rest of us do so this has been incredibly hard for him. This message seems to have given him the strength to keep going, with his chin up.”
Capaldi will be on our screens this Saturday for the season finale of Doctor Who.
