Robert Kirkman, creator of AMC zombie thriller The Walking Dead, has confirmed that the season will not end with character Rick Grimes waking up from the coma he was in during the pilot episode. Kirkman took to Twitter to admit this after the pressure mounted from fans who began questioning if it could all just be a dream.
An internet article entitled “Robert Kirkman Needs To Go On The Record Promising The Walking Dead Won’t End As Rick Grimes’ Coma Dream” came as the final straw, and fans got their result. In reply to the demand, Kirkman tweeted a link to the article along with the comment: “Going on record to answer this…Rick is NOT still in a coma. The events of TWD are definitely happening.”
