Who Do You Think You Are? is set to return to our screens this year, with a host of famous faces including Mary Berry and Billy Connolly taking a turn at delving into their past. The BBC One family history programme features one celebrity per episode, the celebrities team with history experts to uncover the secrets of their ancestors.
This year will be the 10th anniversary of the series’ debut, which began in 2004, and will include the 100th episode. The line-up consists of 10 celebrities; comedian Billy Connolly, British Bake Off star Mary Berry, actresses Julie Walters, Tamzin Outhwaite and Sheridan Smith, DJ Reggie Yates, actors Martin Shaw and Brian Blessed, model Twiggy and creator of Mrs Brown’s Boys Brendan O’Carroll.
The BBC’s commissioning editor for documentaries, said: “The new series promises to continue to deliver BBC One audiences the laughter, tears and surprising revelations of family ancestry as only Who Do You Think You Are? can.”
