The Orwells say sorry to The Arctic Monkeys during London show

press shot

The Chicago band have apologised to their former tour mates The Arctic Monkeys, after accusing them of a “synchronised” stage show and a total lack of variety between performances.

The Orwells supported The Arctic Monkeys on their recent US tour and said sorry to the Sheffield lads during a recent London show. Lead singer Mario Cuomo (no relation to the Weezer frontman) jokingly ended a song by announcing “That’s from our new album, ‘AM”, we would never slag off the biggest band in England right now.”

The Orwells’ second album Disgraceland is out June 2nd. The supporting tour starts the same day in Liverpool’s East Village Arts Club and ends June 6th in Manchester’s Gorilla. Tickets are available here.

The complete tour dates are as follows:

Liverpool East Village Arts Club (June 2)
Edinburgh Electric Circus (3)
Nottingham Rescue Rooms (4)
London Dingwalls (5)
Manchester Gorilla (6)
