Vince Gilligan, creator of Breaking Bad, has said this week that he is “worried” that spin-off series Better Call Saul “may have been a mistake.”
It seems that the pressure of living up to Breaking Bad, one of the most successful cult series’ of our time, is beginning to show in the production team.
Gilligan revealed in an interview this week that shooting was already a week behind, and that he has doubts over how the prequel will be received by the fanatics hungry for more of the Breaking Bad world.
He said in the interview: “If it’s After M*A*S*H (flopped) rather than Frasier (a huge success), it won’t be for lack of hard work and wishful thinking and a lot of smart people doing their best, but you just don’t know until the world takes it.”
Filming started this week in a skate-park location in Albuquerque, and the series will feature “skateboarder twins” who will presumably be featured in this location.
