5-piece melodic hardcore band Heart in Hand, have had quite a bit of success with their last 2 albums, but their newest, A Beautiful White, has been regarded as their most beautifully composed, and diverse release. The Heart in Hand guys are on fire right now, so it’s not surprising that metalcore chums The Amity Affliction asked them to support them on their European ‘Let The Ocean Take Me’ tour. It’s also not very surprising at how eagerly the crowd are waiting for them. Let the crazy night of headbanging, moshing, and crowd surfing begin.
The band take to the stage, and are straight into it. They enthusiastically jump up and down on stage, instruments still going, as they play their loud, and heavy, yet beautiful melodies that have the crowd moshing along. Vocalist Charlie Holmes strains his voice as he passionately belts out one song after the other. The crowd hasn’t stopped moving since the band came on stage, and this continues throughout their set. Frontman Charlie gets into the crowd and hands the mic along to the screaming fans, who graciously accept his invitation to deafen everyone in the venue, as they proceed to yell into the microphone. Their set evokes the usual metalcore mosh-y antics, and they even manage to get a clap-a-long (that must be a first right?). Ultimately the band does a stand-up job of warming up the crowd, and really set the emotionally heavy tone, for the rest of the evening.
