Sony Music have been quick to snap up some of this years most promising X Factor contestants! Ella Henerdson was the first act which the label took interest in since the final of the ITV talent show. After a fierce bidding war, the music moguls were lucky enough to sign Ella up with plans to create a debut album.
Next up were boy band Union J, who were the second act which Sony won over. Despite having left the competition before the final, the quartet will also be working with Sony to create their first album. With ex mentor Louis Walsh claiming the band could be the next One Direction, due to their explosive fan base and rich vocals, it’s no surprise the label we’re eager to sign the boys.
Finally, as expected, runner up Jahmene Douglas is also newly signed by Sony. The singer took to twitter to express his excitement: “Eeek .. My excitement always takes time to kick in :-p but I think it’s slowly slipping in just what’s in store for me 🙂 woooo xx.”
