After ending 2016 with his single Sauce and performing a handful of live shows, British artist AGK starts the new year with a brand new track entitled 10/10.
The video sees AGK restricted from making his big break by a straight jacket in this dark-themed video. After watching these new visuals, we had a few questions.
AGK, loving the new track 10/10, but where did the inspiration for using a straight jacket come from?
The straight jacket was Laurence’s [the director] idea who was the reason this video is so well put together in every way. The straight jacket was used for two reasons; first, the fact that I have two styles of genres, my “Wavy” Trap type music as most call it and Grime. Second, was because it fitted perfectly with the vocal effects in most parts of the song. But again, this was all Laurence’s vision.
Your style of Hip-Hop is very much Southern-American, especially Atlanta, how has your material been received from artists or fans from across the water?
It’s been great. I have a big fan base in the USA, Atlanta mainly, and working with a few artists from Louisiana & Atlanta!
We’re only six days into 2017, and you’ve already released a new video – what else have you got in store?
I was originally bringing out a well-wanted track called ‘On The Block’ with a special artist featured. But it’s been drawn past the date of this release. I have a big club track coming very soon with an artist from Canada, and we’re looking to get this played in clubs in Chelsea, Exeter, Torquay, Plymouth, Paris & all over the USA!
