Transformers 4 In Talks?

Transformers 4It is starting to get a bit obvious now. Studios clearly cannot think of any more ideas; so to continue making lots of commercial capital; why not add another film to an already bulging franchise? Yes, that’s right, Transformers director Michael Bay has announced that he has decided to extend the autobots universe and create a fourth film.

Promising that it will “start off smaller”, Bay spoke to Forbes Magazine and revealed that Transformers 4 will be set four years after the destruction caused in the third instalment. When asked whether the fourth film will be a reboot Bay replied, “No, that’s wrong, we keep the Transformers the way they were, it’s just four years later. There’s a reason the Transformers are redesigned. We’re trying to broaden the franchise and give it more places to go.”

Not only is Bay dusting off the Autobots and presumably the Decepticons too, he also has a fresh new cast. Mark Wahlberg has decided to take part in the fourth film, however, we are not sure just yet who he will be playing. Transformers 4 has been scheduled to start shooting after the release of Bay’s Pain and Gain on May 3rd, ready for its 27th June 2014 release date.
