It’s only taken a decade but something is finally crawling out of the amber. Scientists are still working on it but there is new news about the ill fated dinosaurs being brought back to life in ‘Jurassic World‘.
You heard right. Jurassic Park 4 has gotten a new title and a new release date from Universal. The newly titled ‘Jurassic World’ which has been in development hell for the last 12 years, has a new release date of June 2015.
The forth installment of the massively popular and successful franchise has stolen the release spot of the next ‘Pirates of the Caribbean‘ film as writers struggle to find a believable story for the oddball captain, if there ever was one.
A similar reason has put Jurassic Park out of action since the last film. With writers essentially trying to tell the same story again for the forth time, they’ve been a bit out there looking for ideas. One nuts script that was canned featured a crack team of dinosaur-human hybrids given the task of cleansing a dinosaur infested North America. Basically the dinosaur equivalent of the A-Team.
Universal seem the have things under control again as they bring in ‘Rise of the Planet of the Apes’ writers Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver to create the story. One time film director Colin Trevorrow is at the helm after impressing everyone and winning the Best Film Award at several film festivals around the world with his debut ‘Safety Not Guaranteed’.
