Still dreaming of summer days gone by, filled with blissful festival moments? Look no further, here is a list of the best festivals for 2018!
The cold winter months are setting in, and the tents and fields are being swapped for dark warehouses, and sweaty basement clubs, to get our all important musical fix.
However, it also means there is an influx of festival announcements for 2018, and we thought we’d compile a nice and easy list, to help you decide where to frolick, for yet another upcoming festival season.
9th – 14th April
Perhaps not quite summer, but it’s definitely a spearhead for the start of the festival season. And it might be mountain ski resort, but it can also be known to reach highs of 20 degrees. I am of course referring to “The best show on snow”, Snowbombing.
Returning for its staggering nineteenth year, set in the town of Mayrhofen, Austria. The original mountain based snow and ski festival – where you can rave in an igloo, party in the forest, or witness world-class live acts play a stage on the top of a mountain.
Their second wave of artists has just landed and you can expect to see everyone from Liam Gallagher to Bicep. Pendulum to Craig David. And Dizzee Rascal to Dusky. Top DJ’s and live acts will play host to this buzzing ski resort for five whole nights. You can expect the unexpected, and you don’t even have to get your ski-legs. Why not swap the snowboarding for a hot tub in the forest? Or some alpine yoga? Or even chairlift speed dating!
Tickets and packages are available now.
5th – 6th May
In the fallow year of Glastonbury Festival, Arcadia brings its groundbreaking Metamorphosis show and 50-tonne fire-breathing spider to the heart of London, to celebrate their tenth anniversary.
Across the first bank holiday weekend, Londoners will be wowed by the fully immersive performance, with their signature fusion of circus, sculpture, engineering, art, dance music and 360-degree animatronics. All being backed by a ground-breaking light show, with the world’s finest DJ’s and electronic musicians channelling the night into a euphoric crescendo.
Lineups and exact location are still currently a closely guarded secret, but this one-off festival will undoubtedly be the hottest ticket of the summer.
Lost & Found Festival
3rd – 6th May
If you are looking further afield for your festival kicks, then look no further than Annie Mac’s Lost & Found Festival, in Malta.
Home to Game of Thrones, and fast becoming a top party destination Lost & Found is now into its fourth year. Lost & Found will offer 4 days and 4 nights of unique parties held across pools, boats, castles and an incredible outdoor nighttime festival site.
Headed up by BBC Radio 1’s chief tastemaker Annie Mac, this year’s line-up will be topped by British DJ-producer Jamie XX, Diplo, Four Tet and a whole host of extraordinary DJ talent. The likes of Kölsch, The Black Madonna, Mall Grab, Heidi and Bicep are also confirmed.
Tickets and packages are now available.
We Are FSTVL
25th – 27th May
The award-winning dance music show, We Are FSTVL has grown year upon year. Proving itself as one of the biggest players on the UK dance festival circuit since its inception in 2013.
With 2018 heralding their sixth edition, they continue to deliver. Combining innovative stage designs and mind-blowing production with a varied mix of genres across the dance music spectrum.
Bringing together the world’s biggest names in dance music, underground, and grime, alongside leading dance music brands and labels, We Are FSTVL will play host to over 300 acts across 30 stages between 26th-28th May.
Having only announced the first wave of artists, with a huge array of names still to be released, I can tell you now that this will be big. The legendary Carl Cox will play alongside, Eric Prydz, Marco Carola, DJ EZ, Loco Dice, Jamie Jones, MK and much more.

After two hugely successful years, Junction 2 is back in 2018 for a third edition. Combining world-class techno giants and underground electronic tastemakers from across the globe, Junction 2 is brought to you by leading London promotors LWE and Drumcode label king Pin, Adam Beyer.
Nestled under a motorway bridge in West London, Junction 2 brought in additional stages this year, and further cementing its glowing reputation from its 2016 debut.

Elrow Town, from the Spanish born party starters; Elrow, is back in 2018 for the second year. The staggering success of their debut festival this year, saw over 25,000 people flock to East London, to bear witness to the fully immersive toon town of oddities and mayhem. And this time they promise to bring their biggest ever worldwide production.
This year we saw the likes of Jamie Jones, Seth Troxler, Eats Everything and Hotsince 82 play to a packed-out crowd, from a colossal multi-story tower-block stage. Whilst giant puppets, enormous inflatables, and even a twenty-foot high mechanical camel dazzled partygoers beneath a monsoon of streamers and confetti.
In true Elrow style, their 2018 show will expand on this success, offering, even more, music, colour, surprises, confetti and most of all… fun!
Priority access tickets for Elrow Town 2018 will be available to those who register, on Wednesday 15th November.
23rd – 26th August

Multi-award winning festival – Festival No.6 is an intimate boutique festival experience, unlike any other. One of the most Instagram-worthy festivals I’ve ever seen, set within the magical Italianate village of Portmeirion, Wales – Home of the cult TV series The Prisoner.
With the festival already announcing legendary post-punk outfit THE THE, as their first headliner of 2018, we can expect much more to be released in the coming months.
